A regiment of the Defense ministry won the international contest in combat training, held for the first time in the Republic of Korea, the press service of the ministry said.
Teams battled as opposing forces, with simulated battles organized in simulated urban environments and mountainous areas in order to bring combat operations closer to reality.
In 12 categorie within the contest, organized according to NATO standards, the regiment from Uzbekistan won in 10 categories. Second place went to the teams of the USA and the Republic of Korea – on four categories each.
The winners were welcomed at Tashkent international airport on October 28.
