The China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) vows to expedite the line D project of the Central Asia-China gas pipeline, the company said.

Currently, the A, B, and C lines of the Central Asia-China gas pipeline are operational. The D pipeline will have an annual 30 billion cubic meters (BCM) capacity.

It is noted that the capacity of the new network will be 50 percent higher than that of A, B, and C lines.

Lines A, B, and C pass through the territory of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, with a projected gas transmission capacity of 55 BCM a year. After the commissioning of the D line, Turkmenistan's ability to supply gas to China will increase from 35 to 65 BCM per year.
