9 Russian airlines have filed applications to launch new flights to Tashkent ,including Aeroflot, UTair, IrAero, NordStar, Ural Airlines, Smartavia, AZUR Air, Nord Wind and Yakutia., the Russian Air Transport Agency Rosaviatsia reported.
Aeroflot is in the lead with 11 applications for new flights, UTair, IrAero, Ural Airlines and Smartavia plan to open 7 flights each. NordStar submitted 4 applications, Nord Wind - 3, AZUR Air and Yakutia - 2.
Applications for flights between St. Petersburg and Tashkent were filed by 7 airlines, with from 2 to 7 flights per week.
While, NordStar, Rossiya, Smartavia and Yakutia submitted 7 and 2 applications for flights from Krasnoyarsk to Tashkent.
An increase in the number of flights between Moscow and Urgench is soon due, as well as the number of additional flights to Bukhara. Russian airlines totally filed 39 applications for weekly flights to Urgench and 5 additional flights to Bukhara.
