On October 23, Minister of Transport Ilhom Mahkamov met with the Qatar Ministry of Transport's Acting Assistant Undersecretary of Land Transport, Hamad Issa Abdullah.
They discussed aspects related to the development of transport cooperation between the two countries and exchanged opinions on ensuring Qatar's participation in the implementation of the Trans-Afghan railway project. During the meeting, a presentation on this project was held with the participation of officials of Uzbekistan Railways.
In order to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation, Qatar airways airline company considered launching Doha to Tashkent flight.
Hamad Issa Abdullah added that the internal processes of the state in this matter are currently being completed, and it was planned to launch flights from the end of March 2024.
