As part of the second day of his stay in China, the president Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the CEO of the China Energy Engineering Corporation, Song Hailiang.
Having extensive experience in the design and construction of energy, infrastructure and industrial facilities, China Energy is widely involved in the implementation of major projects in many countries around the world. The company's assets stand at over $150 billion.
During the meeting, the company’s active participation in the process modernization of Uzbekistan’s energy sector was commended.
China Energy is implementing PV and wind power plant projects in Kashkadarya and Bukhara provinces, and a heating station in the Syrdarya province.
The company plans to implement a hybrid power plant in Navoi province.
While, in September of this year, cement production unit was jointly launched in Samarkand province.
The prospects for partnership with China Energy were discussed, including the modernization of infrastructure facilities, the creation of energy storage systems and the training of qualified specialists within the framework of the Industry Development Program until 2030.
They also focused on the cooperation in the water sector and the implementation of joint projects in various industries.
Following the meeting, they reached an agreement on the preparation of a comprehensive program to expand biltaeral cooperation.
