We strongly condemn this terrible act of violence and consider it a gross violation of the international humanitarian law, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a statement. Uzbekistan called on the parties to the conflict to immediately stop hostilities and cease the fire.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the attack on the hospital in Gaza.

"It is with deep sadness that we learned the news that many people were killed as a result of the air strike on the Al-Ahli hospital in the Gaza Strip.

We strongly condemn this terrible act of violence and consider it a gross violation of the international humanitarian law," said the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Uzbek authorities, expressing deep condolences to the family members and relatives of the deceased, called on the parties to the conflict to immediately stop hostilities.

On the night of October 17-18, the "Al-Ahli al-Madani" Baptist hospital in the Gaza Strip was hit by an airstrike. According to the Palestinian side, at least 500 civilians were killed as a result of the strike.

Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, blamed Israel for the attack. Israel claimed that the incident was caused by a failed rocket launch by the Islamic Jihad group, which the group denied.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned the attack "in the strongest terms". The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, also called the attack a violation of the international law.

Protests are taking place in a number of countries in connection with the attack.
