Chinese firm could erect an indoor ice resort on 4 hectares in the Andijan province, the press service of the provincial administration reported. The name of companies that will be involved in the project was not disclosed.

On October 12, the governor Shukhrat Abdurakhmanov, at a meeting with investors, discussed the project, which is reportedly aimed at developing the tourism sector and attracting foreign tourists.

The project cost is estimated at $12 million. The resort will host a parking lot for 500 cars, sports grounds, a cinema, a restaurant and other facilities.

The governor office’s officials offered Chinese investors a site for the project in Khanabad. They, accompanied by the deputy governor visited inspected the site.
