Today, on October 13, on the sidelines of the CIS summit in Bishkek, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

The leaders commended the dynamic development of Uzbek-Belarusian multifaceted relations. The two-way trade figures are growing, with the implementation of projects in various sectors of the economy ongoing.

The heads of state emphasized the importance of taking coordinated measures to further expand trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation, including organizing the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, the Forum of Provinces and a meeting of rectors of leading universities of Uzbekistan and Belarus. They also exchange views on cooperation within the CIS and other international bodies.
