First Deputy Transport Minister Mamanbiy Omarov met with executives of the Asian Development Bank and discussed the financing under the E-Program of the Green Climate Fund.
Reportedly, the ADB officials’ proposed financing under the program, which is to be implemented in Uzbekistan, stands at US$ 170 million (US$ 65 million is a grant and the remaining US$ 105 million is debt).
This program, aimed at the popularization of commercial electric vehicles, includes 4 areas that provide for the deployment of a fleet of electric buses and supporting infrastructure, the improvement of the public transport system and its sustainability, as well as the support of public policies aimed at the development of e-mobility.
