Uzbekistan International Forums Palace hosted the Conference of the chiefs of general staff of the countries of Central and South Asia today in Tashkent, the press service of the Ministry of Defense said.
The Conference was attended by delegations from the Ministries of Defense of Uzbekistan, the USA, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
The conference was opened by the Minister of Defense Bakhodir Qurbonov and the Commander of the US Central Command Michael E. Kurilla.
During the conference, the parties reportedly discussed regional security and stability, the fight against terrorism and humanitarian assistance.
