According to the Pressuzb Telegram channel, the entity in charge of public procurement of the Ministry of Health - Uzmedimpeks signed a 5 billion 644 million soums worth of a direct purchase contract with Samo in June 2022 for Potassium iodide 1 mg tablet, No. 100 (Antistrumin). On January 11, 2023, a 956 million soum worth of addendum was made to this contract. Thus, the price of the first contract was raised to exactly 6.6 billion soums. Based on it, 1,200,000 boxes of the drug were purchased for 5,500 soums each.
By May 4, 2023, Uzmedimpeks signed a direct purchase contract with Samo for the Antistrumin worth 15 billion 275 million soums. In this case, 2 million 350 thousand boxes of medicine were calculated at 6,500 soums each.
