From September 20 to 21, 2023, Mr. TATEISI Toshiaki, Director of the Information Technology Federation of Japan, held lectures on “Digital and IT Sectors Human Resource Development” as part of the Visiting Lectures Program organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

The lectures were held at the Japan Digital University (JDU) on September 20, and at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy on September 21. More than 200 students and professors attended the lectures in two days.

Mr. TATEISI gave lectures on topics such as IT trends in Japan, digital governance, technology languages to learn for working in Japan, and the use of IT technologies in Japanese universities. The participants listened to the lectures with great enthusiasm and engaged lively in the Q&A session.

The Government of Japan places emphasis on “investment in people” and “quality growth” and has been supporting human resource development and digitalization efforts, including in the IT sector. Japan will continue to share its knowledge and expertise in this area.
