The foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan have noted the recent positive dynamics of bilateral relations.
During the October 19 meeting of the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov with his Kyrgyz counterpart Erlan Abdyldaev in Tashkent, a cooperation program for 2016-2017 was signed. Also the Ministers discussed the current state of topical bilateral affairs, and the ways to further boost and reinforce cooperation.
"The parties, noting the recent positive dynamics of bilateral relations, including in relation to the delimitation of the state border between the two countries, have acknowledged the necessity to develop a "roadmap" for further cooperation on the full range of issues including in political, trade-economic, border, cultural and humanitarian framework" - it said in a statement of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Kyrgyz side handed over to the Uzbek side the official invitation to pay a return visit to the city of Osh in the near future in the framework of the cross-border cooperation, which was accepted with gratitude.
