On September 12, Minister of Transport Ilhom Mahkamov met with Russian Deputy Minister of Transport Dmitry Zverev. According to the Ministry of Transport, the parties reviewed bilateral cooperation in the field of transport and logistics.
In particular, the parties considered increasing the number of permits for international car transportation, increasing the frequency of flights between the cities of the two countries, and opening Tashkent to Southern-Sakhalinsk flight.
In addition, the countries exchanged views on the organization of export-import cargo transportation in the multimodal route Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Caspian Sea-Russia and other issues of cooperation.
