President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will attend the Central Asian Summit and the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea Summit in Dushanbe on September 14-15. This was announced by president’s spokesman Sherzod Asadov.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev will speak at the first Aral Sea Summit with a number of proposals and initiatives, he noted. The President, in particular, will touch upon issues of trade, economic, transport and logistics relations, green economy and energy, water resources in the region, and will also speak on issues such as strengthening cooperation between countries in the field of ecology and joint efforts to mitigate the negative consequences of climate change.
On the sidelines of the Central Asian Summit, 12 side events are planned, including an economic forum, a forum of scientists, a meeting of active women, a cultural program and an exhibition of national dishes of the countries of the region. On September 13, as part of the summit, a meeting will be held with the participation of transport ministers of five countries in the region.
