Uzbek national was severely wounded as a result of a shootout between two criminal groups in Istanbul on September 2. Despite the provided medical assistance, he died in a hospital, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul said.
Reportedly, the deceased N.Z., a native of Samarkand, 46, worked nearby at the time of the shootout.
Law enforcement agencies of Istanbul detained the suspects in the crime, with an investigation underway.
The Consulate General assisted in the prompt dispatch of the body of the deceased to the Samarkand province.
