On September 5, the government issued Additional measures to support certain socially needy categories of the population and promote their employment Resolution, the press service of the Ministry of Justice said.
According to the resolution, from October 1, 2023, employers who hire prisoners released from penitentiary facilities will receive a one-time subsidy in the amount of three times the base calculated amount (990,000 soums) for each such employee after he has worked for more than three months.
The exceptions are budget-fary organizations, state-owned enterprises and legal entities in which the state's share is 50% or more of the authorized capital, the report said.
Until January 1, 2025, a system will be introduced for the return of personal income tax paid to entrepreneurs during the trial period.
In addition, from October 1, 2023:
- professional and business skill training of persons released from penitentiary facilities will be launched in mono-centers and vocational training centers “Ishga Markhamat”;
- system of employment of persons released from penitentiary facilities will be introduced to vacant and reserved jobs in organizations.
Subsidies will be allocated from the State Employment Promotion Fund. To obtain them, employers must apply in writing to the district (city) departments of employment and poverty reduction or send an application through the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services.
