On August 30, the president Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted the Chairman of BOD of ACWA Power, Mohammad A. Abunayyan, the presidential press service said.
The parties reviewed the ways to further expand cooperation and acceleration of Uzbekistan projects.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev commended the achieved level of partnership with ACWA Power, which is today the largest investor in the development and modernization of Uzbekistan’s energy sector.
They focused on the promotion of projects for the construction of modern thermal power plants, wind and solar facilities, energy infrastructure, green hydrogen, localization of equipment and components based on advanced technological solutions.
While, they pointed the importance of continuing work to attract leading Saudi companies and banking institutions to Uzbekistan was emphasized as part of the work of the joint Business Council, co-chaired by Mohammad A. Abunayyan.
At the end of the meeting, Mohammad A. Abunayyan expressed his gratitude to the leader of Uzbekistan for the high appreciation of his activities and the presentation of the state award - the Dustlik Order.
