Director of the department of cooperation with EU countries and institutions of the Foreign Ministry, Oybek Shakhavdinov hosted the UK’s ambassador Timothy Smart, Dunyo said.
The parties reportedly discussed the ways to further advance of Uzbek-UK ties, future joint events, as well as bilateral agreements being developed.
They pointed to the importance of strengthening mutually beneficial relations, activating cooperation in political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian areas and reiterated their commitment to expand relations in various fields, in particular, labor migration, fight against climate change, security and other fields.
