President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov hosted the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan to attend the tenth meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The parties exchanged views on the ways to further expand and deepen cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other areas. Sadyr Japarov pointed to the unprecedented positive changes have taken place in Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations in almost all areas of bilateral cooperation.

Sadyr Japarov drew attention to the progressive growth observed in recent years in the two-way trade between the two countries, expressed confidence that the items discussed today and the agreements reached will be fully implemented at the level of the governments of the two countries.

In turn, the Prime Minister Aripov focused on the historic decisions taken during the state visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan. In particular, the completion of the process of delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border.

The parties also focused on the implementation of joint plans and projects aimed at the benefit of the two peoples and the strengthening of fraternal ties.
