On Saturday afternoon, five beams of an overpass under construction in front of the Tashkent international airport collapsed at once. The story about this surfaced on social networks.

Uzbekistan Railways reported that the beams fell during installation using a crane. Due to negligence, they hit each other and collapsed from the installation site, the report said.

There were no casualties following the incident. The rails on which the beams fell lead to the car depot. The incident did not affect the movement of trains.

“The details of the incident are being studied, and additional detailed information will be published based on the results of the checks,” the report says.

The customer of the project is the engineering company "Single Customer Service" of the Tashkent city administration. The general designer is the Kuprikkurilishloikha unitary enterprise (the second general designer is the Allegro Develop Project company), the general contractor is the Kuprikkurilish trust of the Uzbekistan Railways.

The project was launched in February. It is planned to hand over the object until December 2024.
