3 PV plants will be built in Qibray, Upper Chirchik and Boka districts, 2 coal power units at Angren TPP and hydroelectric power plants will be built in Bostonliq district of the Tashkent province, the presidential candidate Shavkat Mirziyoev announced at a rally with voters of Tashkent province.

"Currently, 4 electric trains that were brought 30-40 years ago are running in Tashkent province. Therefore, in order to bring our people closer and improve the service quality, electric trains fleet will be completely renewed.

"In particular, 10 electric trains connecting the Bekobad, Khojakent and Angren routes with the capital will be launched from 2024," the candidate said.

According to the alternative energy program, 3 PV plants with a total of 1.7 thousand megawatts will be commissioned in Kibrai, Upper Chirchik and Boka with the participation of Saudi Arabian and Chinese investors worth total of 1.5 billion dollars.

While, two 600-megawatt coal power units and 900-megawatt hydroelectric power plants will be built in the Angren thermal power station.

According to Mirziyoev, in the next seven years:

  • problem of kindergartens and schools will be completely solved in all neighborhoods of Tashkent province. For this, more than 1,000 kindergartens with additional 60,000 places will be set up;
  • by increasing the capacity of existing schools and building new ones, 100,000 student places will be created, and there will be no classes with more than 35 children (now there are 3,000 such classes);
  • sports halls will be built for 188 schools in the province.

Also, 4 thousand kilometers of internal roads and more than 100 bridges will be built and repaired in more than 350 districts of the province.

"5100 kilometers of power lines and 1400 transformers will be renewed. Due to this, electricity supply will be improved in 250,000 households.

In addition, construction and repair of 5,200 kilometers of drinking water networks and 750 kilometers of sewage networks will be carried out.

As a result, 100,000 households will be supplied with drinking water through centralized networks for the first time, water supply of 800,000 inhabitants will be improved," said the candidate.
