On June 25, Tashkent will host the Yangi Nafas (New Breath) and Vatan Qalqoni (Homeland’s Shield) running races dedicated to World Youth Day, as well as the Olympic day competition dedicated to the International Olympic Day.
According to the Tashkent city mayor’s office, the following streets will be temporarily closed due to the races:
from 0:00 June 23 to 10:00 June 25:
- Afrosiab Street - from the intersection with Islam Karimov Street to the intersection with Beshagach Street;
from 5:00 to 8:00 June 25:
- from the intersection of Afrosiab street with Islam Karimov street along Aybek and Afrosiab streets to the intersection of Aybek and Nukus streets;
- Nukus Street - from the intersection with Aibek Street to the Roman Catholic Church.
Drivers are advised to take diversion routes.
