8,000 kilometers of power network and 2,000 transformers will be renovated with an aim to improve the power supply to households of Ferghana province, with 10,000 kilometers of roads and 170 bridges to be repaired.
Presidential candidate Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the above plans to improve infrastructure at a rally with Fergana voters.
Solar power plants with a total capacity of 900 megawatts will be launched in Besharyk and Uzbekistan district through $900 million of Chinese investments.
In addition, 5,000 kilometers of water supply networks and 900 water supply facilities will be built and repaired. As a result, by 2030, the degree of provision of hosueholds with clean drinking water in the province will be increased from 76 percent to 96 percent,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
