42-year-old woman was hit by a train traveling along the Andijan-Khiva route in Ferghana, the spokesman to the Prosecutor General's Office Khayot Shamsutdinov said.
The tragedy occurred on June 2 at about 10:40 AM between Akhunbabaev and Margilan stations.
Seeing the approaching train, the woman pushed over the shoulders of her seven-year-old boy who was walking next to her along the pedestrian crossing, but she herself did not have time to escape. She died on the spot.
The woman worked as a cleaner at a school. She was married and had three children.
