Former president Islam Karimov’s son, Piotr Karimov from the first marriage sued the ex-first lady of Uzbekistan, Tatiana Karimova. Subject of Petr Karimov's lawsuit against Tatyana Karimova is a dispute arising from the right of inheritance.
On June 26, the Yakkasaray Interdistrict Civil Court will consider a civil case against the wife of the first former president, the late Islam Karimov, Tatiana Karimova.
Judge Aziz Rahmonov will consider the case in the court of first instance.
This is not the first lawsuit of Petr Karimov after the death of his father. In 2018, Pyotr Karimov, who worked for Uzbekistan Airways for several years, filed a lawsuit against his employer for the recovery of wages through a court in Moscow. By the end of the year, the case was closed due to an early settlement agreement between the plaintiff and the defendant.
Piotr Karimov is the eldest child of Islam Karimov's first wife, Natalya Petrovna Kuchma, whom he married in the 60s of the last century. Official information about this was made public only after the death of Islam Karimov.
