"Belarus and Russia need to develop aт action plan in the face of sanctions and further strengthen the EEU (Eurasian Economic Union), and Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are ready to join, said the Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the Russian president Vladimir Putin in Sochi, BelTA said.

“Most importantly, we know what to do and in what direction to head to. We thought it would be worse. But so far, it has unfolded a little better than we thought. And step by step we will rebuild our relationship. I have already publicly said at a meeting of our secretaries of security councils: Russia and I will think over a plan of action in this situation. There’s no point of talking that the sanctions will be lifted”, he added.

“We need to focus on our strengths and on ourselves. And if we develop such a plan of our actions, our partners will certainly join. I'm sure Kazakhstan within the EAEU and Uzbekistan. And we will create attractive conditions here. I am sure that our union will only grow stronger,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
