Regular meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS CIS) took place in Sochi on Thursday.
According to the government of Kyrgyzstan, the parties identified three main items on the agenda of the meeting and exchanged views on topical issues of economic cooperation in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
During the meeting, a number of important documents aimed at further development of multilateral cooperation within the CIS were signed. In particular, an agreement was signed on free trade in services, establishment, operation and investment, the work on which lasted more than 10 years.
The second no less important document signed following the results of the CIS SGP is an agreement on the cooperation of the CIS member states in the exchange of monitoring data on the radiation situation. A number of decisions were also adopted in the field of industrial cooperation, the cultural and humanitarian sector, as well as in terms of financial and personnel issues.
In addition, within the framework of the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the CIS SGP, a provision was approved on the Spartakiad of the CIS countries among children with disabilities.
At the end of the next meeting of the CIS CGP, a decision was made to announce the youth capital of the CIS for the next three years:
- in 2024, this status will be granted to the city of Tashkent of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- in 2025 - to the city of Gabala of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
- in 2026 - to the city of Kapan of the Republic of Armenia.
