President’s Envoy for Afghanistan Ismatulla Ergashev hosted the Japanese Ambassador Hatori Takashi. According to the Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the ways to expand cooperation on the Afghan crisis. In particular, they underscored the importance of continuing to coordinate efforts aimed at establishing long-term peace in the country.
They touched upon the provision of humanitarian aid to the Afghan people, implementation of large infrastructure projects aimed at developing trade and economic ties of Afghanistan with the countries of the region, as well as using the transit potential of the country.
They also explored the possibilities of joint use of the educational center for training Afghan citizens in Termez city for joint educational and humanitarian projects, as well as to tap the potential of the Termez Cargo Center transport and logistics hub.
