On June 5, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree introducing a visa-free regime for nationals of Qatar, the Ministry of Justice said. As per the decree, Qataris can stay on the territory of Uzbekistan without a visa for 30 days from the date of entry.
It is noteworthy that today on June 5, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is expected to arrive in Uzbekistan on a state visit.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev will hold talks with the Emir of Qatar in Samarkand.
Earlier in May, the Embassy of Qatar opened in Tashkent.
