“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan expresses concern about the launch of a space vehicle by North Korea on May 31, which leads to a further escalation of tension on the Korean Peninsula. We are in favor of refusing to test all types of weapons of mass destruction in accordance with the obligations arising from the resolutions of the UN Security Council. Uzbekistan will continue to firmly support active steps to ensure security on the Korean Peninsula in the name of general prosperity and progress,” the statement said.
