The Ministry of Natural Resources has signed an agreement with the Korean Environmental Industry and Technology Institute (KEITI) on the implementation of a US$ 6.6 million grant project.
According to the Ministry, the parties discussed initial perspectives of medical waste disposal and construction of landfill gas trapping facilities project in Jizzakh.
500 kW-1 MW landfill gas collection facility, a waste gas collection system that can be connected to a 500 kW-1 MW power plant will be erected as part of the project.
The parties also explores the possibility of opening a representative office of the KEITI in Tashkent in the future.
