The Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade (MIIT), Uzbekneftegaz and the US Air Products today signed a $1 billion worth of agreement on development of a production complex for the processing of industrial gases in Kashkadarya province, the MIIT said.
This complex is part of Uzbekistan GTL launched in Guzar district of Kashkadarya province in 2021.
“Thanks to the signed agreement, we will be able to apply the most advanced technologies and knowledge in Uzbekistan. The agreement will ensure the production of high-quality and cheap fuel. We look forward to developing this long-term and stable partnership, and are also pleased with new opportunities for cooperation with Uzbekistan,” said Seifi Ghasemi, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Air Products.
At the ceremony the sides highlighted a number of benefits of using Air Products' experience in deep processing of natural gas at the Uzbekistan GTL plant, such as increased efficiency, reduced production costs and reduced harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
Air Products is the world's leading supplier of technology and equipment for the production of liquefied natural gas, and supplies turbomachines, membrane systems and cryogenic containers worldwide.
