Chief of the Department of Cooperation with European Countries and EU Institutions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oybek Shakhavdinov met with the Ambassador of Sweden (stationed in Stockholm), Tomas Danestad, Dunyo reported.
The parties discussed the items on the bilateral agenda, including the ways to step up Uzbek-Swedish ties in the political, investment, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian areas and identified the expanding relations in the field of education and tourism as promising areas.
They expressed interest in establishing interregional cooperation in the Central Asia-Northern Council format.
The parties confirmed their readiness to take concrete actions to strengthen mutually beneficial relations and effectively use existing opportunities.
