Visit of the chairman of the Malaysian International Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry - MIICCI (Malaysian International Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry) Haji Muhammad Amin Fahmi to the country was organized on May 15-21 this year with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, Dunyo reported.
During Haji Fahmi's visit, meetings were held with the leadership of the Foreign Investment Attraction Agency under the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan. During the meeting, the guest was briefed about the opportunities created for foreign investors in Uzbekistan, the activities of free economic zones, and the benefits created for investors.
During the event, the parties discussed organizational aspects regarding the holding of a business forum between Uzbek and Malaysian companies in July of this year.
At the end of the dialogue, the parties reached agreements on holding a business forum in Uzbekistan with the participation of Uzbek and Malaysian companies and the involvement of leading Malaysian companies producing high-tech products, signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the International Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia and the Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the framework of the business forum, Uzbek companies responding to Malaysia on the development of the visit and the holding of a business forum in Malaysia.
