Chinese transport and logistics companies will organize joint ventures and create logistics centers in Uzbekistan, the Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov told Uzbekistan 24.
Also, the Chinese relevant bodies, together with the Uztermiyo’lcontainer under Uzbekistan Railways, plans to set up a joint venture, as well as launch container transportation.
Earlier, 41 documents were signed at the meeting of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of China Xi Jinping in Beijing on May 18, including agreements on the establishment of a multimodal logistics center and on the renewal and modernization of the locomotive fleet of Uzbekistan Railways.
Ilkhom Makhkamov also announced the completion of a feasibility study for the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China railway project.
