Chinese Xi'an will host the China-Central Asia Summit on May 18-19, Xinhua reported. The Summit will be attended by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The forum will be chaired by Chinese President Xi Jinping.

This will be the first face-to-face meeting of the leaders of the six countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations between them 31 years ago.

At the summit, the heads of state are expected to discuss the creation of the China-Central Asia mechanism, cooperation in various fields and sign important political documents.
