Uzbekistan will transfer US$ 100 thousand as a voluntary contribution in 2023 to the fund of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). This was stated in the president’s May 12 Wide celebration of the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Decree.
The Decree noted that the decision was aimed at "supporting the efforts of the UN in the implementation in practice of the main goals of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights."
Prior to this, Uzbekistan transferred voluntary contributions to the OHCHR fund in the amount of $100,000 in 2021 (since this year, the country has been elected a member of the UN Human Rights Council for three years), 2018 (70th anniversary of the declaration) and 2008 (60th anniversary of the declaration) years.
