Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted the Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived in Uzbekistan to attend the next meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission.
According to the presidential press service, the parties discussed the ways to further strengthen the Uzbek-Tajik good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance ties.
Reportedly, they commended the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation in accordance with the agreements reached at the highest level, with the volumes of the two-way trade and cargo transportation are growing, the number of successful cooperation projects increasing and close inter-provinces contacts established.
They also focused on the adoption of effective measures to increase trade turnover, promote promising projects in energy, engineering, agriculture, transport, mining, textile and other industries with the involvement of financing from the Uzbek-Tajik investment company.
In this context, the sides pointed to the importance of the implementation of the decisions of the meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission held today under the chairmanship of the prime ministers of the two countries in Tashkent.
