President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution aimed at developing the service sector, in particular, the activities of enterprises engaged in catering and delivery of goods on Thursday.
The resolution suspended until January 1, 2024 the requirement for mandatory presence of a driver's license to drive:
- two- or three-wheeled vehicles with a maximum design speed of not more than 50 km/h, the working volume of an internal combustion engine is not more than 50 cm3 or an electric motor with a rated (installed) power of more than 0.25 kilowatts and less than 4 kilowatts;
- mopeds, quadricycles (quad bikes), tricycles, scooters, and other mechanical devices adapted for movement on the carriageway having exactly the same characteristics.
While, persons traveling on these vehicles must be wearing a fastened motorcycle helmet.
In addition, the clause 23 of the list of types of activities (works, services) that self-employed persons can engage in has been amended. Instead of "Delivery of goods to individuals using personal vehicles (except for freight)" it now looks like: "Delivery of goods based on the order (except for freight)".
