President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Italy in the summer. Italian Defense Minister Guido Crozetto, who visited Tashkent on April 26, told the Italian news agency Vista.
According to him, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is scheduled to hold talks with Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Prime Minister Georgia Meloni and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.
Guido Crosetto noted that the visit of the Uzbek leader to Rome will mark the beginning of a new stage of long-term partnership between the countries.
As part of his visit to Uzbekistan, the Minister of Defense of Italy met with Minister of Defense Bakhodir Kurbanov and the President Mirziyoyev.
As reported earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev was set to visit Germany on May 1-2.
