Tashkent City Mayor Shavkat Umurzakov received the Russian ambassador Oleg Malginov on Monday, the Tashkent City Mayor’s office said.
Reportedly, the Mayor Umurzakov expressed gratitude for the visit and said that the effective dialogue between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin had created a solid base for the modern pace of development of relations between the countries.
He also said that the administration of the capital supported the presence and development of Russian business in Tashkent was ready to study in detail all proposals and projects in the field of digitalization, tourism, scientific and technological development, medicine, education, cultural and humanitarian interaction.
In turn, the ambassador underscored the interest of Russian enterprises in cooperation in the field of renovation and development of energy infrastructure, expressed readiness for full support and cooperation in this direction.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that the international industrial exhibition "Innoprom Central Asia", which will be held on April 24-26 in Tashkent, will become a platform for achieving these goals.
