The president signed the Measures to implement the project "Clean energy for buildings of Uzbekistan" with the participation of the World Bank Decree.
The feasibility study of the project "Clean energy for buildings of Uzbekistan" with the participation of the World Bank has been confirmed with the document.
They include the following: purchase of building materials (heat insulation materials, pipes, door and window frames, building materials) and equipment (renewable energy sources devices, heating system, heating boilers, etc.); construction and assembly works; energy audit services.
For the implementation of the project, the Council of the World Bank approved the allocation of 143 million US dollars in loans to Uzbekistan for a period of 30 years, including a 5-year grace period. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to modernize more than 800 preschool, school and healthcare institutions.
The Roadmap for the implementation of the project was approved, according to which it was decided to create a list of objects that are expected to be reconstructed (modernized) within the framework of the project by May 2023.
