Gas explosion occurred early in morning on March 17 in a house in the Madrasa neighbourhood of Kattakurgan district of Samarkand province, in which four people sustained severe burns.
The press service of the General Prosecutor's Office said that the explosion was caused by improper ignition of the heating stove.
As a result of the explosion, 50-60% of body burns were sustained by the owner of the house A.R., 81, his wife K.F., 72, as well as grandchildren 10 and 11 years old. They were hospitalized in the district medical unit.
On March 26, both children, who had previously been transferred to the Samarkand branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care, died.
On March 26 and 27, K.F. and A.R., respectively, died in the district medical unit.
Reportedly, the District Prosecutor's Office is conducting an investigation. The case is under control of the provincial prosecutor's office.
