A bus was heading from Shymkent (Kazakhstan) to Volgograd (Russian Federation) when it toppled in Kazakhstan's Akmola province today killing 9 people, all Uzbek nationals.
According to Kazinform agency, the bus was carrying 52 people, of which 50 citizens of Uzbekistan. 18 people, including 17 Uzbek citizens and 1 Kazakh citizen were taken to the hospital.
According to a statement of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the Ministry's Consular Department and the Uzbekistan Embassy in Kazakhstan are taking measures to identify the individuals and provide necessary assistance to the victims.
