Man in Samarkand, who promised to send a local resident to the United States via the EU countries and Mexico, was detained, UzA said.
Operation by officers of provincial State Security Service of the and the police department, it was found that Zh.Y., 27, promised N.T. to arrange entry into the United States in return of $50 thousand.
The man was detained when he was receiving a down payment of $10 thousand. The search of his car found N.T.'s international passport, ID-card and birth certificate of his daughter and other documents.
A criminal case has been launched, with investigation underway.
Similar cases are regularly reported in the Samarkand province.
