Ulugbek Rozukulov has been appointed CEO of Uzautosanoat, the company said. Ulugbek Rozukulov, 53, a graduate of Lomonosov Moscow State University, holds postgraduate degree of the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences and is PhD of economic sciences.
Prior to his appointment, since 2018 he served as the Ambassador to Indonesia, since October 2019 he also served as Ambassador to Vietnam.
In 2017-2018, he worked as the CEO of Uzbekistan Airways (now split into Uzbekistan Airways and Uzbekistan Airports).
Prior to that, he served as Deputy PM/CEO of Uzavtosanoat (2015-2017), Executive Director of the Uzbekistan Fund for Reconstruction and Development, First Deputy Minister of Economy, Director of the Department for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The previous chief of Uzavtosanoat, Shavkat Umurzakov, was appointed Tashkent city mayor.
