The President, Supreme Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his trip to Surkhandarya on March 13, observed brigade tactical exercises of the troops of the Ministry of Defense at the Termez training ground of the Southwestern Special Military District, the presidential press service said.

Reportedly in recent years, the Uzbek Armed Forces have been radically reformed, putting into practice "modern experience in organizing the interaction of units, conducting combat operations and operations with the wider use of unmanned aerial vehicles, aviation and artillery capabilities."

“This process is being worked out during tactical exercises at the level of companies, platoons and brigades to perform tasks with minimal losses, use the most modern types of weapons and military equipment, air support for combined arms units, conduct special operations in difficult mountainous and desert terrain, in urban areas, evacuation of units and other activities, ”the presidential press service noted.

“The current exercises were conducted based on the nature of military operations observed in the world,” the statement added.

The President stressed that today, when information threats are increasing in the world, enhancing the potential of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan, ensuring the unity of the people and the army, educating young people in the spirit of patriotism should become the core of reforms in the military sphere.

The President gave instructions to officials to constantly increase the combat capability and readiness of the troops.
