Shukhrat Khudaykulov has been appointed as the new CEO of Uzbekistan Airways, the company said. This is provided for by the March 10 decision of the sole shareholder of Uzbekistan Airways - the Strategic Reforms Agency under the president.

Since 2019, he has served as Deputy CEO in charge for Commerce and Tourism.

Shukhrat Khudaikulov, 39, graduated from St. Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation with a major in Organization of Air Transportation. In 2006, he joined the Uzbekistan Airways and began his career as an agent for organizing air transportation services at the Tashkent International Airport.

Between 2006-2019, he served in various positions of Uzbekistan Airways, including in the representative offices of the company abroad, as well as the company director of the commercial department.

Since February 2021, the position of CEO of Uzbekistan Airways had been held by the Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov.
