Uzbekistan has been ranked 100th among 167 nations in the global prosperity index, showing a four-rank improvement from last year, according to 2023 Legatum Prosperity Index released on Wednesday.

Since 2011, Uzbekistan has moved up the rankings table by 13 places.

Uzbekistan performs most strongly in Social Capital and Health but is weakest in Natural Environment. The biggest improvement compared to a decade ago came in Enterprise Conditions.

The Legatum Prosperity Index is the world’s leading global measure of economic and social wellbeing that studies 104 indicators under these categories: Economic Quality, Business Environment, Governance, Personal Freedom, Social Capital, Safety and Security, Education, Health and Natural Environment.

The country performed the worst in Personal Freedom (147th) and Natural Environment (162nd out of 167 countries) the lowest in the world.
